Workers in the value chain

Everyone working within or for the Stokab Group is responsible for ensuring they are not linked to or contributing to human rights violations.

Stokab procures and places call-off orders with suppliers and contractors for construction works and network operations. This is an area where we have identified potential risks relating to human rights, labour conditions, bribery and corruption, as well as the potential environmental impacts of material production. If Stokab fails to recognise these risks and take action, confidence in us as a company could be damaged.

Responsible suppliers

Everyone working within and for Stokab has a particular responsibility to ensure that nothing in our own operations, or in those of contracted parties, causes, contributes to, or is linked to violations of human rights.

Procurement – A tool for social sustainability

Procurement and purchasing are important tools for increasing oversight of social responsibility among Stokab’s suppliers. Stokab’s framework agreement includes the appendix titled “Ethical Considerations.” When new suppliers sign the agreement, they are included in Stokab’s systematic monitoring and follow-up process.

Monitoring and follow-up

Stokab’s follow-up process includes requiring suppliers to report on their procedures for systematic work on human rights; labour rights; work environment, safety and health; the environment; and anti-corruption within their own organisation.
