Impacts, risks, and opportunities (IRO)
Impacts
Maintaining a good working environment and favourable working conditions remains a priority for Stokab. Deficiencies in work practices can pose risks to both mental and physical health, such as workplace injuries, burnout and dissatisfaction, which can lead to increased sickness absence.
Risks
Our employees are our most valuable asset. Increased sickness absence can affect the company’s operations and lead to higher costs for sick leave and potential new recruitment. The company is experiencing a generational shift, and the skills of older employees need to be retained while new employees are recruited.
Opportunities
By offering a variety of health and wellness activities and regular health checkups, employees are given the opportunity to take control of their own health. As part of the follow-up of suppliers under framework agreements, ethical requirements are monitored, including checks that suppliers’ subcontractors have good working conditions and that suppliers can demonstrate relevant policies, procedures and risk assessments.
